From: Dave Ray
Message: Cliff's integrity as a singer was second to none. If he couldn't "make a song his own", he wouldn't sing it. Whenever he sang, you knew something more about him. As an entertainer, he was calm, gentle, and gererous. That made his humor infectous. The people loved him, the band loved him, and I loved him too. I think the hardest thing I ever saw him do, was to stand there and accept sincere praise and gratitude from some one. In my book, a good man has left this world, and we are all less for it.

From: Marilyn Glenn Sayan (then Marilyn Toth)
Message: I worked with Cliff at the Department of Personnel so many years ago, but I think we did better work at the Red Bull and other places where he and Gerry were the Cliff Dwellers. Cliff was a talented and fun guy to be around. We all shared a lot of good laughs and maybe a drink or too. I haven't seen him in so many years but now that he's gone, I miss him already! Heaven will have a lot more fun and good music with Cliff there you can be sure. May peace and love always be with you, friend.

From: Gerry Gronseth
Message: Cliff's ability to relate to audiences always impressed me, he could be so at-ease with any type of crowd. I learned so much while in the "Cliff Dwellers" and again in "Encore" due to Cliff's choice of songs. As Cliff would sometimes say, "thank you very good-much", thanks Cliff for many great times, this town will definitely miss you.
