Michael J. Anderson
Michael J. Anderson, 67, a 31 year resident of Olympia, died July 2, 2009 at home. He was born October 20, 1941 in Vancouver, Washington to Earl N. and Helen (Gunnison) Anderson. Throughout the years he also lived in Arizona and California. On May 20, 1978 in Tacoma, he married Margaret Von Rotz, who survives.
Michael was a stay at home Dad. He enjoyed cooking, art, astrology, music, and was a nature lover. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing jokes with family and friends. He loved to debate and argue. Michael volunteered at the Yelm Senior Center for many years.
Including his wife Margaret, Michael is survived by son, Justice (Nicole); daughter, Sarah Anderson; brother, George Anderson of Tennessee; sister, Shirley Nordness of Kirkland; also 3 grandchildren, Isaiah, Taytum, and Owen. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joyce Wieland and Donna Anderson; and brothers, Art, Jack, and Gary.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Burfoot County Park, 6927 Boston Harbor Rd NE, Olympia.
