GEORGENE MARION GUERIN
August 22, 1934 to October 31, 2009
Beloved wife and mother, Georgene Marion Guerin passed away on October 31, 2009. She was born on August 22, 1934 to Marie and George Faber and was a life-long resident of Olympia.
She met the love of her life, Mike Guerin while they were both employed at the Olympia Oyster House. They were married in September of 1962. Together they raised four children and were blessed with five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
As a homemaker, Georgene was most content when sewing, baking, decorating for the holidays, remodeling a house or spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with Mike and was thrilled to return home to share stories about the trip with her children and grandchildren.
Georgene was a giving person who was always ready to provide support and assistance when someone was in need. She was a proud, strong woman and she passed those qualities on to her children. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children and grandchildren who will carry her in their hearts forever.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Mike Guerin and their four children, Vickie McNeese, Shirley Duke, Dale Ferrell, and Tracy Radwan; five grandchildren, Angela, Marty, Alex, Emily, and Aziza; great grandchild, Tyler; sister Pat Rickert; and brother Mike Faber.
A celebration of Georgene’s life is planned for November 11th from noon to 3:00pm at Shirley and Brian Duke’s home located at 4210 - 78th Avenue SW, Olympia, Washington 98512.
