Albert (Al) Leonard Avery
Al passed away at home on December 16, 2006, at the age of 75. He was born on August 31, 1931, in Port Angeles, Washington. Al is survived by his wife Teresa. Al leaves behind four sons: Kurt (Kristi), Kevin (Susie), Garrick, and Glenn; four daughters: Sherry Furrer, Sandi Shaw (Peter), Deanne Nation (Ron), and Danette Glasgo (John); twenty grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Al was in the Navy and served in the Korean War. The majority of Al's life was spent in Olympia. He was a builder/remodeler and he enjoyed wood carving and drawing. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the East Olympia Community Church, 8213 Rich Road S.E., Olympia, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Harvest Ministry, New Life in Jesus Ministries, or Life Outreach International.
