Clair Ferris

Clair is a second generation funeral director following in his father's footsteps. He is a licensed funeral director/embalmer in both Washington and Oregon. He also holds a current insurance agent license to help families with their funeral pre-arrangements. Clair has served on the boards of both the Oregon Funeral Directors Association and the Washington Internment Association. He has extensive background in both cemetery and funeral home operations. Clair held several management positions with the Loewen/Alderwoods Groups (Mills & Mills corporate owners) before starting Funeral Alternatives of Washington. Clair is a member of the Elks Lodge, Tumwater Area and Lacey Chambers of Commerce and was past-President of the Olympia Capital Centennial Rotary Club. He also is a member of the Senior Action Network where he is a part of the SAN Speaker's Bureau. Clair has spoken to countless organizations and groups on various subjects including, family preparedness, obituary/eulogy writing and religious and ethnic burial customs.

Sharon Ferris

Sharon and her husband Clair opened Funeral Alternatives in November 2002. With a compassionate nature and desire to be of service in her community, Sharon has helped define FA’s philosophy for compassionate, quality service. She emphasizes listening to the questions and concerns of families, and offering them solutions and possibilities, while always keeping their best interests at heart. Sharon is mother to five children, belongs to Senior Action Network, the Tumwater Rotary and both the Tumwater and Lacey Chambers. She also sings and is on the board of directors at the Olympia Choral Society.

Jack McIntyre

Jack has been with Funeral Alternatives since April 2003. Having faced grief and loss first hand, with a dispassionate funeral home, he decided he could serve families better. He found the philosophy he was looking for at Funeral Alternatives, where they honor your choices and recognize that each family is unique. Married for 40 years, with 7 children and 12 grandchildren, he is no stranger to commitment and compassion, which is why when you call Funeral Alternatives, you’re guaranteed a live, empathetic person on the phone to help you in your time of need.

Linda Rounsley

Linda has been working at Funeral Alternatives since September 2008. She cares greatly about ministering to families going through one of the most difficult times of their lives. Married, with 5 grown children, Linda was born and raised in Olympia and graduated from Olympia HS. She has close ties to the community, which is why she chose to work at Funeral Alternatives. "People come before profit, here. We offer the families we serve the same consideration we would our own families".

Matt has been working for Funeral Alternatives since December 2003. He is the third generation of Ferris’ to go into the funeral profession and he’s proud to carry on the legacy of going above and beyond to accommodate the needs of every family served at Funeral Alternatives. Knowing he would be able to help families through possibly the most difficult time in their lives made the decision to go into the "family business" an easy one.

Andrew Kill

Andrew has been with Funeral Alternatives since September 2009. He brings a wide breadth of personal experience and enthusiasm to Funeral Alternatives. He loves his job and feels lucky to be able to meet people and share in the legacies they leave behind. His “can-do” attitude makes most any tailored arrangement possible. Andrew is married with 2 children and a black lab. When he isn’t multitasking to satisfy the needs of families, he loves camping, hiking and church activities with his family. Andrew is also a proud member of the Yelm Rotary and Yelm Chamber.

Carrie Luce

Carrie was born and raised in Olympia, and graduated from Olympia HS. She began her career in the funeral business almost 30 years ago and has gleaned valuable experience through the years. She joined Funeral Alternatives in July 2010, and looks forward to serving her community and families during their time of need. Outside of Funeral Alternatives, she is an active member of Eastern Star and proud mom to Buster, Max and Bubba, her three dogs.

Jill L. Lane

Jill was raised in Tumwater and graduated from Tumwater High School and South Puget Sound Community College. She started with Funeral Alternatives in July 2006 performing nightly first-calls, and added working in the office in August 2011. She is currently working on her internship to become a licensed director. Jill values Funeral Alternatives' focus on putting families first, and how we strive to make things easier for families in a difficult time. She is involved with the Lacey Chamber and Senior Action Network. Outside of Funeral Alternatives, she is an avid cyclist and a member of the local Capital Bicycling Club. She also enjoys riding motorcycles.

Megan M. Sanders

Megan was born and raised in Thurston County. Her mother worked in the funeral business through Megan's childhood and she started working with her at the age of 16. Megan joined Funeral Alternatives in April 2011, and is proud to be able to help families as they are grieving the loss of their loved ones and to try to make things a little easier for them wherever she can. Megan has been married to her husband Jason since 2004; they have four children, and three dogs.

Tina Noelle

Tina has been working for Funeral Alternatives since December 2011. Although new to the Northwest, Tina has 5 years experience in the funeral industry. Her passion lies in giving families a positive final memory of their loved ones. A military spouse for more than 18 years, she has a special heart for military families. She grew up in Oklahoma and has three children and one grandson. When her husband was recently stationed at JBLM, she was immediately drawn to the family first attitude of Funeral Alternatives. In her free time she enjoys reading, crocheting, sewing and camping. Tina is a member of Faith Assembly of Lacey.

Trent Nielsen

Trent is a first generation funeral director, who felt like his career choice actually chose him. He got his start in 2003, helping out part-time at Funeral Alternatives of Washington in Sumner (Now Curnow Funeral Home). He began by going on first calls, and later started helping families with their pre-arrangements. After Trent graduated with a business management degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, he remembered how much he enjoyed helping families through difficult times, so he chose to become a full-time funeral director. Trent speaks fluent Spanish from his two-year church mission in Guatemala. He continues as an active member of his church congregation. Trent is also a member of the Senior Action Network in Thurston County. Trent and his sweetheart, Amy, enjoy living in Tumwater and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child.
